At about the age of 18, DJ JimmyJam (Jim Warren) took
a lifelong love of music, his naturally entertaining personality,
and an unconventional venue(The W.R.A.P.) and began to mold himself
a career as a DJ. He saved every penny he could until he had enough
to buy his first real equipment. Armed with no more than some seriously
outdated dual
deck cd players, a peavy amp & mixer from the stone age, and a
passion for good times, JimmyJam continued to do house parties for
his friends, until one of them asked him to Dj their wedding. This
marked the first "professional" gig for DJ JimmyJam, and
the first time he realized he could actually make money with his trade.
While he continued to do parties and weddings, sharpening his skills
on the mic and with the beats, he decided to further his professional
knowledge by earning his degree in audio engineering from Full Sail
institute in Orlando, FL. After school, Jam had a brief stint as a
Dj and MC on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, and has since made some
SERIOUS upgrades to his equipment AND skills. He continues to bounce
around between different venues in the Upper Valley including Electra
Nightclub, The India Queen in Hanover,
Shenanigans, and Whaleback Mt. while still doing the weddings, parties,
and events that got him started. One thing is for sure, if your having
a good time with some good tunes... look around, you'll probably find
DJ JimmyJam! |
